Hello, Holy Wild Woman, Welcome! We are so glad you are here.

Hearthmother Ministries is a shared work stewarded by Lauren Hall and Brooke Collier. Together, we create a space for believers to explore the intersection of Christian faith, undisturbed birth, and embodied womanhood without their guard up or their filters on.

Rooted in relationship, reverence, and responsibility, our work centers God as the Great Midwife and honors birth as a sacred, God-designed process—physiological, spiritual, and communal.

Our Story

Lauren and Brooke had each been learning and serving in births in their respective communities since the same year (2012), but they didn't know one another until through mutual friends, they briefly met in 2020 before drifting out of one another's line of vision for a couple of years. In 2022, Lauren reached out to Brooke to say "hi" and to make some observations about the similarity of their hearts and work. What followed was a rapid succession of Spirit-led nudges, conversations, and leaps of faith that birthed first a friendship, then a podcast, and later a birthkeeper training program.

Our Posture

We hold women in the seat of authority and responsibility in their childbearing and lives, rightly ordered under Christ.
We honor birth as a normal, God-designed physiological process that unfolds best when left undisturbed and held with wisdom.
We believe wisdom is shared through community and the Holy Spirit, not owned by any one person.
We value story, discernment, and relationship over control, certainty, or outcomes.

Hearthmother Ministries is not medical care, and we are not your medical provider. Birth is not a medical event, but we are not anti-doctor, nor do we promise outcomes. We honor informed consent, personal responsibility, and individual discernment.

This is a space for thoughtful conversation, transformation, and community—not blind agreement or prescriptive instruction.

All About Brooke

Rooted Birthkeeper

Brooke has been attending births since 2012, first as a birth photographer, then a midwife apprentice, then as doula and birthkeeper (and sometimes wearing more than one of those hats at a time). She’s the owner of Sister Birth, creator of Embrace Birth Journey (an online home birth prep program for expectant parents), and facilitator of heart-based community, both online and locally. She lives in West Michigan with her husband and their 6 children, all of whom were born at home.

All About Lauren

Traditional Midwife

Lauren is a traditional midwife, trained through an apprenticeship model, Indie Birth Midwifery School and a great deal of self-directed learning. She serves her local community in Central Arkansas as well as women around the country as a midwife and holds hopes and dreams of international travel for missionary midwifery. She is a mother to 8 children, including a set of twins, and has experienced a great variety of birth stories with them. She is the founder Rooted in Eden and the primary facilitator of Hearthmother Midwifery Unschool (previously Anointed Midwifery Unschool), to which Hearthmother Journey is a prerequisite.
